Financial Transparency

Habitat Greater Boston has the highest standards of financial transparency, integrity, and accountability. We welcome the opportunity to be transparent about our finances. We hold ourselves accountable for our expenses and 88 cents of every dollar is spent on program costs – building green, affordable homes; neighborhood revitalization projects; and working with low-income families.

Homeowners pay back a 0% interest mortgage over 25-30 years and all mortgage payments are reinvested into our building program. The ReStore also generates income for building homes. Mortgage payments and ReStore proceeds account for approximately 15% of the revenue we need to acquire land, build houses, and serve our families. The majority of the financial support we need to build homes for families comes from individuals, businesses, foundations, colleges, and faith communities.  Please make a long-term investment in the Greater Boston community with your tax-deductible donation today.
