Habitat and Delta Air Lines Top Off Last Building of Blue Hill Place

On Friday, October 1 Habitat for Humanity hosted a celebration at Blue Hill Place to thank Delta Air Lines for their generous gift of $150,000 and for participating in a 3-week build. Over 225 Boston-based Delta employees came out each day to work on the last phase of this five-building condominium project as part of the revitalization of the Roxbury/Dorchester community. After six years, volunteer support, and generous funding provided by Delta, Citizens Bank, Home Depot, John Hancock and Putnam Investments, the project is almost complete. Guests included Siraad Yusuf, a Somalian refugee who will be one of the homeowners, and City Councilor Charles Yancy.

We sincerely thank all the Delta Air Lines volunteers that took the time to hammer nails, saw 2x4's, and lift the walls that will one day become a Habitat family's new home!
