On behalf of Habitat for Humanity Greater Boston, we sincerely thank you for your support of our inaugural “Home for the Holidays” celebration.

The celebration on December 2nd got off to a great start with caroling from the Boston Latin School Choir, festive food and drink, larger than life hoiday cards from Habitat homeowners, a holiday card photo op, and the terrific company of nearly 200 happy guests.

Unfortunately, the Open House was cut short for those in attendance due to a fire which occurred at a food station.  It was quickly extinguished thanks to the hotel’s fire suppression system.  Two of the hotel staff sustained injuries and we are tremendously relieved that they are expected to fully recover.  Ultimately, the Boston Fire Department determined that we could not continue our celebration in order to ensure the safety of all present.

We have pivoted to bring our celebration to a close here on line, offering our auction items and a fund-in-need opportunity right here.  Please join us in Building a GREATER Boston as we prepare to build the nearly 60 homes in our pipeline and the many more to follow.
